Where to start

If you would like to develop a community plan or project, you will need some advice on how best to do this and how to find like-minded local volunteers. Oxfordshire County Council works closely with and provides funding for a number of organisations that can offer free advice and support.

We can help with information and advice relating to county council services at any stage, from a public launch event to developing a community survey to finalising your action plan.

Make sure you get in touch with your local county councillor and Community First Oxfordshire for best practice advice on community-led plans. They will make sure we get involved at the right stage.

Oxfordshire Insight can help you find out interesting basic statistical information about your community, such as statistics on transport, crime, employment and housing.

This can help get you started on a community plan and decide what else to find out yourselves. It will also help you in making sure everyone in your community will be involved, by giving you a clear idea of its overall make-up
