Oxfordshire Youth Flute Choir

The flute choir is open to players of grade five and above.

The Oxfordshire Youth Flute Choir is open to players of grade five standard and above. The repertoire includes additional parts for piccolo, alto flute, bass flute, and the standard flute. The music covers a range of styles.

In the years since the group was formed, it has twice won the Ensemble Cup in the Oxford Music Festival and was selected to perform at the national Festival of Music for Youth in Birmingham in 2011 and 2012.

Also in 2012 the ensemble was honoured to be chosen to perform at the Lord Lieutenant's Garden Party in the presence of the Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh in Henley for the Diamond Jubilee.

How to join

Membership of Chamber Groups is usually by invitation only. Players mainly come from central activities and in some cases, you may be asked to audition.

Cost

£96 per term. The charge will be invoiced per half term i.e. six invoices over the academic year.
