Safeguarding young people online

This interactive session helps build confidence around how young people use the internet and social media, covers risks and concerns, and provides quick, easy strategies to support them to stay safer online.

Half day course for OCC Foster Carers

Learning Outcomes:-

  • Include a factual briefing about how young people use the internet
  • Explore different kinds of online risk
  • Explore different strategies for online safeguarding
  • Build skills in opening discussions with young people about their internet use
  • Build skills in assessing risk and dealing with problems when they arise
  • Provide the opportunity to discuss concerns and share strategies with other carers
  • Provide an information pack and e-safety action plan for all participants to take away with them
