Trauma In Children & Young People | Oxfordshire County Council

Trauma In Children & Young People

Participants will gain an understanding of trauma, typical responses to trauma in children and adults, and how this relates to child development and attachment. We will focus in particular on how foster carers might recognise signs of post-traumatic symptoms and how best they might respond and recruit support. We will then consider the role of foster carers in supporting children who have experienced trauma and how the concept of resilience can be vital in helping the recovery process.

One day course for

Foster Carers and Foster Care Supervising Social Workers only.
