About our Oxfordshire pictures, postcards and photographs.
The photographic collections includes the following:
- A wide range of images depicting most parishes in Oxfordshire and a wide selection of postcards.
- Large collections of photographs such as those of Banbury Livestock Market, and those associated with recording projects, for example, the project about the closure of the USAF air base at Upper Heyford.
- Images of local industries such as Pavlova leather makers of Abingdon, the Oxford Steam Plough Company, and Coopers Department Store in Oxford.
- Paintings by William Turner of Oxford, Michael Angelo Rooker, James Allen Shuffrey, Terry Frost, Nina Carroll, Stanley Anderson, Maurice Draper, Robin Tanner and William Carline.
